Serious Sam HD

If anyone fancies some SS HD co-op action then add me Steam ID is Rangler611.

Im off to see if theres a dedicated server exe available

Screenshots please

Damned its going to take all night according to steam :(

Those who get it running please post some screen shots, the higher res the better :)

Aparently there are some audio driver issues with the game.??

Just started downloading. I should have thought about restarting Steam! Sat there in an anxious state waiting for it to go from 'Not yet released'.

Downloading at around 105kb/s for me :( My connection has been awful recently so is this just me? I normally get ~500kb/s

Indeed!

I can play the game, but no ******* sound!

Updating the DirectX does bugger all.

EDIT - Here is the fix for those with the same problems. It's all down to default sound quality format setting i.e. if you set it too high. I myself am using the onboard Realtek HD Audio and on Windows 7 Professional x64.

I remember as a school kid playing this when the twin towers went down. I don't know which was more horrific, the twin towers, or the game. Fun for about two minutes and then it lost it's charms on me. :(

Really enjoyed the co-op back when it first came out, it was definitely worth the couple of trips I had to make to get my pc and monitor round to a mates house. Wouldn't of bought it from Steam though for £17.99, saw the GetGames link on Bluesnews and just got it from there.

What is GetGames like? Is it like Steam where you have to load into the app first before the game starts?

In the case of Serious Sam HD you get sent a code which you can activate in steam, so no need to download through Getgames or do anything else with them. They give you the option of using their download service but I didn't try it.

At the moment there's nothing on the GetGames site apart from this Serious Sam promo. Not sure how it'll handle the launching of games in future.

Gave up last night as it was only going 100-200k/s but just opened up Steam this morning and getting 1.4mb now :D

So if you bought this game with GetGame, you get a code which you can just type in Steam and then forever more it's as if you bought the game via Steam? It appears in your Steam games list so you can download it as many times as you like from there without having to use GetGames at all?
