I turned my computer on today and a blue screen flashed up, I restarted the computer and it flashed up again. every time I tired to get into safe mode the computer just kept going back to the blue screen. I managed to try and get the windows disc in to a reinstall of win 7 but the blue screen just kept coming back.

after many tries the systems restore options page came up and now it wont go away... I didn't manage to get a back up or there is no restore point to go back too.

the PC has just **** its self.

any suggestions?

im using a gigabyte z77x-3dh board 1 128 solid state drive for my OS and another 1tb for all my other stuff.

I cant get my head round it.

Keep pressing F8 when your system is loading, once advanced boot menu comes up, select 'disable automatic restart on system failure'

Once the blue screen comes up again, post the error code and someone should be able to help.

cant get into the boot menu mate.

Rroff, in the system restore menu it allowed me to run a check on the ram, it seems fine. im wondering if it is the ssd because the os is installed on that. I could be wrong but that was my original thought. I even tried poking about in the command prompt and when searching for the ssd it was unable to get files from it so maybe it could be that.

Which ssd manufacturer?
Check you are not into a power cycle thing, where you need to keave it running the hitswap the ssd cable and reset without powering off.

Goggle powere cycling ssd out of protection mode.

Remove the SSD and plug it into another PC and see what ssdlife and crystaldiskinfo have to say about its health, as you say it sounds like that.

I would also run a test on your memory.

I ran a memory test through system restore options and it seemed fine. I havnt got another pc to try the ssd in...

i took a drive down to pc world, the place was near empty just after opening so they were all ran at me when the doors opened. I asked the first girl did she know much about computers, she said yes. so I went into detail of my problem.

she looked at me with a face as if I had just hit her a slap. she called over another guy who apparently knew everything about computers, again I went into detail and he tried to come off with some sort of explanation but after I mentioned the command prompt he was lost. this guy then sent me the tech desk where they kept the pc mogul chained to the desk.

I spoke with mogul and again went into depth about the problem covering everything from command prompt to blue screen. he looked at me and said that they are not specialists and are just people who work there with a hobby. complete waste of time speaking to them.

I just bought a 500gb wd hard drive, it took me 2 minutes sticking it in the pc and is now reinstalling windows :)

does anyone know what the warranty is on the intel ssd's?
