Server 2003, IIS and ASP

Basically I can't get my ASP site working on my server 2003 machine.

I was testing the site on my own pc which worked fine after installing IIS and .NET framework. I've just built my server 2003 machine and installed IIS and done all updates including .NET framework 2 & 3. I have also checked in add & remove windows components and ASP is installed there.

Still no joy with my asp site but the html pages are working fine. any ideas please?

HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.

is the ASP extension in IIS enabled?

ASP extension wasn't enabled but is now.
The site still isn't working correctly but I was playing around with the application settings (specifically application name) in the properties section and managed to get it working but I reset it all to try and understand why and it isn't working now.

Any ideas please?

Solved the problem was down to permission level on the database used in the forum.

Could you please tell me how you got this working im taring my hair out trying to get this setup. i can get to the stage where i can view a website, but i have NO database connectivity.

Any help will be much appreciated.
