Hi all,
I look after a small server that uses Win2K3 and Exchange 2K3 (plus a few other apps) and is also the file server for 5 client laptops.
At the moment, I'm using ntbackup and only the files and exchange datastore are backed up.
I'm conscious that all applications, settings for domain, GPO, AD, etc will get lost if the server fails (although its in RAID but still).
I'm looking at Acronis as a 3rd party solution but am not sure on a few things.
Which version is ideal? True Image Echo server for windows or enterprise server?
I like the idea of being able to monitor / maintain the system remotely with enterprise but then I have VPN and RDP access to the server.
Also, does Acronis look after Exchange and all its intricates? for example, if the server died and I had an image from an acronis backup, restoring that image would return everything to the way it was email wise?
Thanks
