Server issues?

My SMP client's having a spot of bother finding an appropriate server. Was doing this earlier and spontaneously resolved after 30-45 mins of trying. Now is doing it again :(

Anyone else got this problem?

Been doing this for about 15 mins now. Tried restarting client, can't be doing with restarting computer, got revision to do too so may just ignore it.
 
Had the same for about 3 hours earlier on until I managed to download a new WU. Not due to finish another SMP WU for another 4 hours so hopefully it'll be resolved fully by then.

Looks like there's just no SMP WUs. Very odd!

Switch to bigadv then you only have to worry about an outage every few days. Just don't let the damn thing crash. :)

The observant reader would notice that the logs posted by myself and Mattus both showed us to currently be using 4GB RAM ;)


I heard my computer get an SMP WU while drifting off to sleep last night :D
The added load on the PSU makes the fan kick in a bit more, I'm starting to get pretty close to its rated capacity with i7+3 graphics cards, and its 850W 'cause I bought roughly double what I thought I needed a couple of years ago, for futureproofing :(
 
Got up this morning to find both i7s failing to get work - one from midnight and the other from 03:30. Tried restarting both clients and both picked up work immediately.
 
Well had a quick game of assassins creed 2 and restarted it and its got something now i hope it will carry on as i am going to sleep fed up with babysitting my rig at the moment hence the slight drop in output :(

I wondered what was going on there but noticed it wasn't dead as you were still dumping the odd WU. On the plus side that means I'm back on your radar, and all things being well, I should remain on it once you return to form :D
 
Looks like I avoided WU problems this time around!

Just had a quick scan through the logs on both SMP clients and would appear nothing has gone idle for any significant amount of time. :)
 
Well you can add me to the list of not getting any SMP WU'sby the looks of the logs ive not had one now for over an hour lets hope they sort it soon
 
I haven't had any downtime today so far due to server issues - although my i7 rig is not-on for a few hours while my brother builds my new desk! I want to keep it switched on, but not a great idea since there is going to be a lot of sawdust flying around soon! :p

I'm not liking the prospect of getting stomped multiple times, I don't get stomped tis supposed to be the other way round :p
 
Heh know how you feel mate. It's an inevitabily however. In fact it's the sound of inevitability :p
