I have a server running windows 2000 - When booting it gives the message 'A kernal file' is missing.

I have the drive slaved on an XP machine and access to the hard drive with no problems.

Would anyone have any idea of the files to copy across to try and fix this problem?

Or another solution that doesn't involve the boot floppies.

Cheers!

Data will be fine, how much of the settings are kept I'm not entirely sure, it keeps the registry etc but I think you may have to do a directory restoration if you have AD installed.
