Server Licensing question (VMware)

Hiya guys quick question.

The whole microsoft side of licensing confuses the hell out of me and i cant seem to find the answer to this so im hoping you guys can explain it to me.

I am looking to virtualise all of our servers and i was wondering can i use the serial keys from the old servers within the VMware? as these will no longer be used or do i have to rebuy a license?

Unless you bought the disks separately they'll probably be OEM licenses and tied to your old servers so depending on how many VMs you'll be using an Enterprise license might be your best bet.

If they are transferrable, then yes. You really do need to figure out what license agreement you're on currently, though.
