Hey all,

Been asked to look at a server upgrade the company have been spec'd:

2 x 146GB SCSI Hard Drives

Do you see any reason for using SCSI? im not all that up on SCSI or RAID Interface?

Could we not use SATA II? or IDE drives depending on the Motherboard.

Obviously this is vary vague, but your opinions welcome!

Depends how heavy your load is, if it is very high you might want to look at SAS (Serial Attached SCSI). The drives are designed to be hammered, and the interface is specifically meant for concurrent usage :)

Can you explain a bit better for me, laymens terms, im not great with this format...
