I'm back baby!
I start my new role on Tuesday. So far I've researched SIAM, ITSM, Design-Build/Design-Bid-Build phases and methodologies, ITIL, etc.

I've done operational management and I've managed services and service offerings. The role I'll be doing is actually a bodyshop approach so I'll be outside my actual corporation for a time and not using the standard corporate approaches I've spent most time researching.

Any tips or sharing of experiences would be appreciated :)

Congrats :)

You're pretty experienced so you probably know this anyways... but make sure you're involved in the Projects right at the outset and the service design is established early alongside the high level technical solution.

What's the environment you'll be in?

IT. My first assignment is within a large scale retail enterprise environment :)

There are already a lot (over a hundred) of projects ongoing and I believe I'm the 5th service architect on the account! Complexity is good for learning though :)
