Hang on, that link speedy2004 posted said final release Q2 2008, so isn't it a bit early to be getting a release candidate?? Most software is still in beta 4 months before release! Have they brought it forward?

Also, can anyone who installed it tell me if this includes the annoying WGA thingy?

Do you mean you were having problems with Activesync? What phone are you using? If I install this it'll be slipstreamed and I'd have reinstall to get rid of it so if it has problems with Activesync I'll pass.

just checked activesync 4.5 here with an O2 XDA2 with no problems.

(well apart from the dodgy USB socket on the bottom of the phone lol)

Wasn't syncing it, just direct access to the memory for downloading photots and music.
Wasn't getting a removable drive show up when i plugged it in.

I never get a removable drive popup, I have to click the "explore" button in Activesync!

Had some1 come into work with a Siemens lappy with this on and Norton wouldnt let windows boot further than loading the start bar because apparently Norton thought it was a virus

I don't think it is designed to 'fix' your system Most updates are security or driver based.
