Hi all,

My Mondeo is due a service, i've been ringing around for quotes and prices (haven't booked a car in for a service for ages now, always DIY'd them), and i'm getting various quotes but all around the same ballpark figure.

Basic service (oil and filter change only) is £100 or thereabouts.

Full service (Oil & Filter, Fuel Filter, Coolant, Pollen Filter, Brake Fluid, Air Filter) with a health check is £200 on the nose.

Is the a reasonable price to be expecing to pay for a full service? Car in question is a 2004 Mondeo TDCi.

Thanks :)

If its suspect cheap make sure they are using genuine parts, a lot of main stealers use none genuine parts to cut costs although a lot of them do tell you first some of them dont

Seems quite fair to me for all the fluids if its genuine parts

The service schedule is minor-minor-major every 12 months or 12,500 miles so check which one you're due.

I used to pay 145 for a minor and 210 for a major and £37 for brake fluid - that was at a main ford dealer

Will double check but i'm pretty sure its due a major, the prices quotes above are with Ford (main dealer) :)

Not too shabby then, its booked in for next week and its due a major service :)

After that and 4x new Falken FK452's it should be ok for a while :)
