Set of knives worth £125 for only £1.99?

Judge Sabatier any good? Sets seem pretty good value on that site, me mam could do with some new ones, Ikea knives have gone quite blunt :)

They are worth £125 in the same way that the RRP of Sony equipment is twice what the shops charge for them, ie they aren't.

As someone who owns some JP knives, don't bother they are ****.

Do you reading around and invest in some good ones but make sure you research the best way to sharpen them. Some recommend a wet stone, others a steel. Don't be fooled by the con of the JP knives.

Or maybe you've never used a good knife before ;)
Or maybe I do actually have a good knife as well as those cheapys (which clearly aren't anywhere near as good as my expensive one) :p The JP ones I have haven't ever rusted though.

No problems with the JP knives here either. Yes they're cheap, and hollow, and not well balanced, but they do what I need them to do - which isn't much. Good knives would be more trouble than they're worth for me.

Damn sight better than the knives I (and plenty others) fell for after a demonstration in Tesco. They'll cut through a hammer. Yeah, that's about all they're good for. And they cost 3x the price of the JP knives. They're going in the bin.

I've got a set. Again, student house, so they're ok knocking about in the draw. Pretty useless though, they're as blunt as a butter knife after a few uses. Look good though:)
