Win 10 64 bit, Asus Strix nVidia 970 4GB. i5 3570k @4.GHz
I have tried several times to find out what the problem is but I get poor crunching times from this card.
I have seen a 750 complete a guppi WU in a 1/3 of the time I have taken with opt client which they aren't using.
Vanilla BOINC ord. WU about 7 minutes. The guppi WU generally take 25 minutes.
With the Lunatics opt. ver 0.44 ord. WU take about 5 to 6 minutes but guppi WU time increases to 30 minutes!
W/o lunatics card performs@ 90%+ most of time but with guppi WU it can keep dropping to 60% for short periods, 1-2 secs every 5 seconds.
With Lunatics GPU never gets above 60% load and with guppi I see the drop in load for part of crunching time so the profile is very jagged, like a saw.
I tried running 2 WUs together but this only lengthened the time so that 2 together were actually the same or slower than 1 on its own.
I have tried different drivers without any effect.
I should note that with FAH card performs without a problem, a level 98%.
Is this just not a good card for SETI? It only seems to be about 20% faster than my 560Ti.
