Well I'm posting from my phone :( Rig has died and will not run or start up knew I should have not gone out to clean my car dunno when I can fix it now :( Don't even know what the problem is :(
 
:(:( Sorry to hear that Mr M i guess it'll be a process of elimination, i wish you well with it and hopefully it'll be something simple that won't take much to put right :(
 
I am putting the blame all on Mr Kolala :p :D

But it still has not come back on yet so might try my spare mobo that I have and start swapping components over but I just don't have time to strip and rebuild at the moment :(
 
I'm very new to Boinc/seti. I tried it on an i7 machine, am i right in saying that you run one wu per cpu core? or is their a way to run all cores for one WU?

You realise of course the next and major challenge will be stomping Boinc Synergy, still even sounds good OcUk in the top ten mmm bouncy bouncy :D:D

Well I know what has gone and its the psu :( Just jump started it to check it and it went up in a puff of smoke the git :( Smells in here now :p Now to sort out a RMA with overclockers :)
 
I've done that. Left a nice hole in the side of a capacitor and shorted the UPS. If I'd have had an RCD consumer panel at the time I reckon the whole house would have gone. :D

Good luck with that RMA. I'm sure it'll be fine, if downrght annoying.
 
Well at least you know what it is and your covered so to speak, wish i had a spare psu to help ya out but i don't.
On a side note over the last few weeks have had nothing but problems with drivers, everything from a 470 to 580 overclocks were just not stable so have gone back to 255.58 and everything is rock solid again is it just me or are these newer drivers a bit pants?
Keep us informed Mr Marine and were less than 12 hours away from stomping Team China, silly gifs and stomping pics would be welcome :)

:( We've all been there when nothing works right, but its a great feeling when you come back on top and everything kicks into place ... it will come :)

I'm no expert but AFAIK it's one core per WU. You can run multiple WUs on a GFX card if you want though. I've been trying that but my peak output seems to be almost identical to when I was running just the one.
