How are you guys finding the 6.12.26 client? I only upgraded to it a little while ago and I find it really annoying how the messages log is not on a tab any more.
Also it annoys me if you update your resource share on BAM, and sync in the manager it often changes projects resources to 0, I assume it's because it can't communicate with the project in question but I don't understand why it doesn't just leave it as what it is set at in bam

Same here, not being able to see the messages log is a real bind. Hope things improve today, I wish I could pull some more WU's for my GPU's

Got plenty work here btw, including half a dozen AP jobs, If I could just get through the usual pile of old Einstein and Rosetta work I'd be flying.

Decided to update to v0.38, new boinc client and update my nvidia drivers - I was on 257
Will be interesting to see if there is a performance increase. Im hoping that the new lunatics app will solve my random restarts
edit - new boinc client is meh - agree with the lack of a messages window, don't feel like I know what is going on any more.
In fairness to seti, I have just set a 10 day cache and just left it - I check every couple of days to see if my rig has crashed and rebooted, and if so I log it in and leave it again. I might have to change my hands off approach as I see Ba seems to have woken up from his seti hibernation and is breathing down my neck again..

Afternoon Mr edge sah, yeah i would get random shutdowns to do with the gpu drivers soon as i updated from 266 to 275 wotsit and lunatics .38 been great ... well apart from the lack of work untill the last hour or so.

It's been weird seeing people complain about boinc problems as I don't think I have run out of work once since they had that massive downtime when they swapped to the new servers..

Please accept my humblest apologies there would be no honour in doing it that way If it makes you feel any better the main seti rig was down for 2 days. The HDD decided to throw a wobbly and corrupt the OS. The odd thin is that Western Digitals own diagnostic tool finds no problems with the drive but CHKDSK kept finding bad sectors
As it stands a full reinstall of everything seems to be working atm so fingers crossed i wont need a new hdd for a while.

By all means sah you stomp my lazy butt, i will be trying harder just had a rough patch with everything. If your hd does go belly up and you need something quick let me know have some spares be glad to chuck your way.

Amazing how far a roll of £3 fablon and a craft knife can go. I need to work on the finish but for the price and a little bit of fiddling the results look stunning in the right case
