Its been another week of bumps with seti but it seems to be coming around slowly.
A warm welcome to our newest team member ctmblackdragon, congratulations to Mr Meridian sah on his magnificent 40,000,000 tiffy and nice one to Mr kolala sah .... a millionaire 9 times over no less!
Mr BaBa has continued his excellent output, while k3v's gtx 580 is coming into its own and has him perched for the top 20 next week.
Mr Marine Iguana has his 4ghz stable overclock so the single pc league should look a little different next week and with the welcome return of Mr Loudbob prospects for output look very good!
Aye up Mr Grimgoth is back and crunching wb sah ... now back to work :)
My own output is improving slowly ... sorry chaps it was beyond my control i aint slacking honest!

Any mistakes give me a prod and will correct asap ... happy crunching :)

Space shuttle launch in doubt as fuel tanks are filled

Thanks for the news :) my Seti rig is only on in the evenings now apart from weekends, so I think my production is probably about as high as it's going to get. (Unless I see a good deal on a pair of 560s :D)

Your both very welcome Mr dekez and Mr Chasser, looks like i didn't keep my fingers crossed for long enough am allmost out of wu's .... so in Seti terms i am unemployed :rolleyes::(:D

Thanks for the news, and a mention again :) My new card seems to be doing my output a world of good, which leads me nicely onto.....

Thanks for the news as always TBag.

OK you all knowing OcUK team members which board would you go with to replace the last 1? shame i can't find 1 that does ddr2/ddr3 (my google fu may be week) but we cant have everything ;)

1. ASUS Crosshair V (£180) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-461-AS&groupid=701&catid=1903&subcat=2046

3. Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 (£150) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-347-GI&groupid=701&catid=1903&subcat=2046

I'm hoping that the CPU did infact survive enough so it can tide me over until bulldozer is released and any bugs are ironed out before i have to replace it.

I'm leaning toward the UD5 for no real reason its just been a while since i had a gigabyte. Anyone got any advice?

Thanks for the news TT:)

I have been thinking of geting a UD5/7 to replace my K9A2's the only thing i can say against it is it does not have a uefi bios just has efi extensions to make it work with things like 3Tb hard drives.

Welcome Mr BaBa sah and thanks for applying your gpu goodness to the team!
It's all getting a bit cramped from where i am. Looks like Mr Meridian is still light years away and Mr Reaver and yourself are closing fast.
Let me get the boring stuff out of the way like tax and living allowances and i might have to break out the big guns, not that i mind being stomped but i would rather extract my own toe nails with a rusty set of pliers:D
I can resist no more i have broken the seal of my [GermanMode Start] not so secret shiny shiny .... open fire all veppons[GermanModeEnd]

Tadaaaaa:)

Ultra Evil Snigger ;)

And it's the cheapest? :) I have nothing but good things to say of Gigabyte (actually, apart from their far-east based website..)

For the record - after some measurements, I've found the lunatic app to be about 2.5 times quicker than the stock one. That's on an E7200 at 3.2 using the SSE4.1 app. Definitely worth using!

Cheers for the news TT, appreciated as always..
I might have to actually spend some time looking at my rig as since I upgraded the drivers and the lunatics app my RAC has gone from 50K+ to 22K :eek:
Seeing as some of the big hitters are returning, Id better sort it out sharpish..

Welcome Mr Edge sah :)

Wonder whats up with your rig  Thats the only downside to not having it on hand you cant keep on top if owt goes wrong .... still saving power is a good thing :D
Yup it seems were picking up output wise, with Mr BaBa's output and the "return of Loudbob" along with Mr Grimgoth and everyone elses hard work we are hopefully on the rise .... bring it on top 10!!!!!:D:D:D

You are so right TT, just don't get the time at work to skive off and look at it, might have to be an evening this week, get a pizza in and stay late and sort it out..
The free electric is nice though...
Hopefully will see a large climb in RAC for the news next week...

Plus it'll make you look like a conscientious worker win win :D

Crunched yesterday placing us 5th in the world for rac nice one all :D

Gents, I recently added a second NVIDIA card to my main rig. Just dropped it in and both are now happily crunching 2 WU's each. I didn't configure them as SLI however, if I did, would it improve the output? For info they are a 470 and a 460.

Thanks. :)

<edit> Seems I could SLI them if the memory was the same, unfortunately the 460 is 1Gb and the 470 is 1.25Gb. Question remains, if the ouput would increase I may look to move one card on and seek a second identical card </edit>
