Setting a PS3 up for 1080p output!

Hi there,

Recently got a new TV, a 40" 1080p.

Now Ive got the PS3 connected to the TV via HDMI. The PS3 automatically detected 1080p as the output.

When I fired up F1 and PES though, around the cars and players there are jaggy lines. I dont know whether its something to do with the actual games or the PS3 settings...

Can someone shed some light on this matter, I want smooth lines

You won't get them that often with this generation.

Why dont they just make games 1080p then.

Dont they realise that people have large screens and want decent pictures

I'l try and force 1080p. See if I see a difference.
