Rebuilding my PC, I'm retaining the old IDE 80Gb drive as a secondary, connected via the SATA to IDE dongle. A SATA drive will be the primary. Quick question, how do I set the jumper on the back of the IDE drive? It's currently set as master in which case I need to remove the jumper to make it a slave (My name is Ash and I am a slave...sorry, couldn't resist that) or does the connection to mobo via SATA over-ride the need to define the requirement?

I'd leave the IDE drive as it is but you will need to set the boot order in the bios if you wish to have the SATA as the primary. In fact for the installation of Windows I'd disconnect the IDE drive temporarily because Windows can occasionally be a bit funny and might install some necessary files on the IDE drive even though the SATA drive is there for use. :)
