OK, some background first. There's a bug in Google Earth post Vista SP1 which means that if the OS reports too much memory (>3GB) GE gives up downloading image data too early and you end up with a blurry image. Now there's a workaround to this by using msconfig to set the maximum memory in the advanced boot options to 3Gb.
Now that's OK to a point but a) I can't be bothered setting that and rebooting everytime I want to use GE and more importantly b) I paid for 8Gb, I have Vista64 so I want 8Gb available for everything else.
So the question is: How do I mimic the effect of the boot time memory limit for GE only (ie at the application shortcut level)?
