looking to use 2 connections in our office as we were having "internet issues"
everything is hardwired so its easy enough just to plug each modem into the switch when one falls over but id like it automated if possible,

the problem i have is i have one connection which is supplied already in our office through a leased line i dont know whats at the other end of the cable but we plug it in and it works (currently have an archer C6 acting as our local router which works fine,

we've just added a hyperoptic connection as backup and that has its own modem which doesnt want to play with our archer C6 when connected, but direct connect and wireless is working fine, i'm assuming if we stick the Hyperoptic router in modem mode or whatever they call it it will work fine with our Archer but what i really want is something to replace the archer with 2 WAN connections that will handle all our ip stuff and internal network jiggery pokery and auto switch connections or even better load balance the 2 so multi gigabit goodness :)

any suggestions for a load balancer/router device that isnt going to run into multi hundreds of pounds? and is relatively easy to setup

I know Asus does dual WAN routers but no experience with them. We use Drayteks at work but they aren't cheap either, easily a couple hundred pounds depending on the model. What sort of budget do you have in mind realistically, and how is the office network set up? Does it need to provide WiFi as well or do you have separate access points for that?

Similar to @Orcvader, we use (and setup for clients) Draytek's but you would be looking at a 2927ac or 2962 (you would need AP's on top with the 2962) so around £250/330 (ex VAT).

If you're on a budget then Mikrotik would be worth looking at although the OS is a steep learning curve.
