just wanted to check, will have a wireless ASDL router one end of a building and through normal cabling another cable router both are wireless.

with regards to the wireless part, are they configured exactly the same ( same SSID etc ) or do they have to be different, remember reading it has to be different channels for roaming to be sucessful ?

you need Access points. Routers won't do what your asking as they can't have the same subnet both sides. Separate subnets means separate wifi networks and lack of roaming. Ideally you need access points that support a special protcol that does this...the name of which is have a mental blank on at present. :( Stupid organic brain.

Just give them same SSID and put them on different channels, as I remember channels 1, 6 and 11 are compatible.
Then you can roam between them. I did this with three in front of me and could copy a large file from out servers, while unplugging power cables from the access points with out any interuption.

But use one of the routers as a AP eg dissable dhcp and stuff, and use a lan port rather than the wan port.
