Setting up a games console with HDMI 2.1 plus Ethernet

What’s the best way to set up a games console (a Series S) to get a wired connection via HDMI? Ethernet from router to TV, and HDMI 2.1 with Ethernet from TV to console?

I don't think the Xbox and any TV supports HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC). You won't get a network connection like that. If you have a cable already running to the TV, get a network switch, then connect the TV and Xbox to that.

Pretty much nothing supports it.

Seems like a waste of time considering it's limited to 100Mbps and any semi-decent Wi-Fi implementation is going to outpace it.
