Hey,

I have a 1tb Nvme atm and already thinking of storage space now..as my internet is not the greatest so deleting and reinstalling etc is not a good option.

can I just buy another Nvme drive, put it in the unpopulated slot at the bottom of my board, and then do I need to do anything else? Or should it just show in windows as an extra drive?

I ask, as I’m not totally familiar with nvme drive as I have mainly used SSD in the past.

cheers.

Yup, just go to disk manager and assign drive letter 'n stuff.

Assuming the M.2 slot is totally free to use (e.g. no shared lane shenanigans).

quick question mate, to save a few quid and avoid any "lane problems" as it will just be for games, would I get away with a standard SSD?

You don't tend to save much (if anything) with a SATA SSD anymore, so probably not worth it (& it is not compatible with DirectStorage).

What's the motherboard? I'll check the slot.
