Setting up a raid

Hey,

I've never setup a raid and I wanted to check how simple it would be.

I have an MS-7325, I'm getting an SSD today for the o/s

I have two 750gb hdds, each with about 600gb of data on, is it worth putting them in striped RAID?

Do I use manufacturer software to create the RAID within windows?

Would it automatically optimise existing data and stripe it across the two drives?

Thanks, it is a lot of storage. Large media files and sort.. but if I did lose them, it would be annoying, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Maybe I'll consider a raid 1, since I do have an external WD 2TB "mirror"
