Setting up a site

Think this belongs here, as I don't need to know how to set one up more what people think I should do.

Currently have a spare domain (not sure if I can post the url) and webspace. Am thinking of creating a blog site to blog gaming news an such.

Anyone use these kind of sites?
Is it worth my time?

No, becuase there are billions of such sites already out there that nobody visits

its a waste of time, you are better of selling your domain

You need originality or something that other sites don't offer.

The other option is to spend millions on advertising, if it is the same as other sites.

I don't want it to be huge and not out to make anything from it, just like chat with people about stuff (yes I know I can do that here

It's a lot of effort for a double figure users though, if you even get that many.
