Setting up ADSL share

Hi,
My sister is buying a new PC and wishes to use the familys internet connection.
Over the years, I've picked up a few bits and pieces about computers but one area I have zero knowledge of is networking etc.
So hopefully someone can help.
Currently, I have ADSL through a simple USB 330 modem.
I would prefer the setup to not be wireless, if possible.
My mobo is an Asus P4P800-E Deluxe, which comes with both a 1394 and RJ-45 port (if thats even relevant).
As i'm sure you can see, I am totally clueless with this and would appreciate any help, with the setup itself and with what extra parts I may need, for example a network card or router etc.

You'll need an ADSL router with a four port switch. In other words, one with a connector socket for the internet wire (RJ11) and four for ethernet cables for your PC/s. I specify four because, although uncommon, some cheaper "routers" actually only have one ethernet port and one USB port (eg the BT Voyager 2091).

Your RJ11 cable (the wire from the phone filter to the modem/router) will plug into the ADSL/WAN port, and then your PCs/laptops can plug into the four switch ports (ethernet) on the back of the device. You can buy one with or without wifi; but for the negligible difference in price one with wifi is preferred for 'future proofing'.

If you don't really care for wifi at all, or if you're limited on funds, go for a cheaper G wifi device like a Netgear DG834GT running DGTeam firmware, or similar. If you think you'll use the wifi eventually, or at times, and your sister's PC has an N wifi card, go for a draft 2 N router.

It's plug and play, literally. Don't sweat it Just remember to have your ISP's username and password and other relevant details handy (see their site or any documentation they've sent you for info) before you try to set up the router. This will ensure you have a hassle free experience.

Do you have any suggestions for a cheaper router? The one mentioned seems to start around £50, which is a bit high for me.
We only have an upto 8mb connection.
