setting up crossfire

Just wondered if anyone could tell me if its hard to add a second card for a crossfire set up? thanks

Hi and welcome to forums, no its not hard at all, as long as your mobo supports it and your PSU is powerful enough and has enough connectors, its as simple as banging the card in 2nd slot and adding the connectors

Will be included in the drviers. Remember that you need both crossfire connectors attached, not just 1 like in SLI.

No you don't, ran 4870's in crossfire with just one connector fine.

I just learned somethign I actually didn't know, I didn;t realise if you use two cards you have to use both of the CrossFire Bridge connections?

Thanks for the picture, and is it just me or does you PSU look like a blackbox...?

RJC yes you do have to tick the enable crossfire box in ccc and also might want to enable the catalyst ai ( untick the box )

Yeah, I boaght two 4890 and they had to go back because they were not what they said on the tin... they wree 850MHz and not 900MHz as they should have been. And know this was not OVC.
