Setting Up Raid and Using Micros SD

Hi,

Really simple question if only you know the answer.

Just purchased 2 250GB Spinpoints and will be setting them up in RAID for a new build. Now I have been reading over various posts regarding drivers and booting from a USB pendrive but I dont have a pen drive instead I have a card reader and an SD card. Can I boot from the SD card?

You don't need to boot from anything to set up a RAID array, it's all done in the system BIOS. You will need some way of giving the OS install the RAID drivers though, for XP this has to be a floppy if they haven't been slipstreamed into the CD, Vista will take them from a removeable drive so you're SD card and card reader will work here.
