I've just bought 2 x 2TB drives for my system (Win7 x64), which I want to run in RAID1. I have a ASUS P5Q Deluxe and have read the instructions on how to RAID1 - though I have a couple of questions I was hoping some of the members here might be able to help me with:
I presume I can simply add these two HDs to my existing system, by changing the configuration in the BIOS from IDE to RAID. I'm worried, though, that this might screw up the existing SATA drives I have?
Once I've changed the configuration in BIOS from IDE to RAID, I then run the Matrix Storage Manager to configure the RAID 1 set - I presume here, I can simply choose the two discs (2x2TB) and continue from there? Or will the system try and add my other SATA drives to the RAID set?
Appreciate any help or suggestions.
