just a quick question about the above setup, which i have never attempted before - i have always used a router with integrated modem previously.
i am getting a dsl modem and a seperate, and quite high spec, wireless router.
do i need to put the modem on a different ip range/ subnet from the router.
like if the modem is 10.0.0.1 should the router be 192.168.1.1.
or could i have the modem as 192.168.1.1 and the router as 192.168.1.2?
i have the feeling they have to be on a different subnet, but i don't really know, and i hope someone can help.
cheers
