Hi Fellas,

Wasted a few hours of my life earlier trying to setup a raid array for my data drives (raid 0, backed up to NAS, also raid 0), i was trying to do it without reinstalling windows, which is on the SSD - non member disk, couldnt get windows to boot, and now the recovery console wont work!?!

I've set it back to AHCI, so i'm back in windows...Is it possible to create a raid array like this without re-installing windows, or am i in for a long slog reinstalling things...?

Cheers

EDIT: Just realised i posted in the wrong section, feel free to move to storage if desired...

you have to do a reg hack, similar to enabling caching, you do the reg hack to enable you to install the raid drivers, then reboot, set to raid and set up the raid array in the console

I've tried everything! Thing that's bugging me is the recovery console, says it the wrong version for the version I ha e installed, errrr what? Lol it's loading from itself!!

I'm now trying to half install windows so that I can load the f6 driver to get back to the recovery console! I've done the reg hack, is there anything I can do from the console? Like a fix boot or something?

you might need to update to latest motherboard bios not sure, but the bios contains a raid rom aswell i think
