From the Met office.

The Met Office continues to expect an intense low pressure system to move east across the UK during Monday, bringing severe gales and potentially damaging gusts across some areas. Southerly winds are expected to strengthen during the early hours of Monday to give severe gales, with an additional swathe of westerly severe gales to follow later on Monday into the early hours of Tuesday. Gusts of 60 to 70 mph are expected but there remains a possibility of 80 mph gusts over exposed coasts and hills. Much depends on the exact track of the low centre but at this stage, parts of Wales and the southern half of England continue to be considered at greatest risk. Disruption could occur to transport and power supplies and there may be damage to buildings. This warning will be updated around 1100 on Sunday 9th March 2008.

A good excuse to stay in bed. :D

Hmm well I go to work via the blackwall tunnel so I should be ok in there right? :p

Just don't leave your car parked under any trees and wear heavy boots, you'll be fiiiiine.

Glad I've got 4 days off now......flying in that weather would be interesting.....

'and potentially damaging gusts across some areas'

I haven't got any gusts so I'll be OK.

Jesus christ I just tried to explain that joke to someone, and they really didnt get it. But I had fun making them giggle even though they didnt get it!

The Met Office are so scared they call a "Severe" weather warning for somebody farting nowadays.

When I was a lad you had two foot of snow on the ground and the Weather Man told you to put a scarf on and stop being a Jessie.

You're never alright in the Blackwall, if last week was anything to go by (or was it the week before...)

Snow? Luxury! pfft, when I was a lad, we hunted avalanches, so we could melt them just to have something to drink.

Am I right in saying your in the engineering sector, what is there in malta?

Yes you are correct, what is in Malta is a large port which is used for mobilisations of vessels for use in developing the North African Oil and Gas Fields, however I am going to over see the mobilisation of a vessel being used in the MedGAZ project, which is laying 24" pipeline from Spain to Algeria, this is the first of many mobilisations happening over the year, the one I really want to go for is on the Castro Sei (google if you want to see it).
