SFF case

So I'm getting some newish bits to build a PC with and I wanted a SFF case to put it in as my midi tower atm is just too big I think.

Firstly can you get SFF SLi cases ? Needs to take a dvd drive, card reader, 2 HDDs, I was going to buy 2x8800GTs and a PCI soundcard.

Can it fit in a SFF ? Any recommendations ?
 
SFF by definition is a small case. so fitting lots of components into it is always going to be a problem. i think the best you can do is midi tower if you want to use a ATX board.

many/all? SFF cases use mATX boards which tend to not be as good as atx and i think there are only a select few (2 or 3) boards that support SLi, if i were you i would research this topic first and then decide if SFF is for you/

Can you get a SFF sli motherboard... (i would assume so, 650i, and 7xxi, not researched into this yet)

I literally have just bought a lian li v350b, and i'm fairly sure all that would fit in there, and i know some people have sli'd 88gtx's in their silverstone sugo's (albeit with a little modding...)

I'm about to go and take a whole buch of pic's of the lian li, so hopefully that shou,ld give you an indication of what you can fit. I'll link you to it when i'm done :)
 
Thx StevenG - Can you recommend me a good looking tidy Midi tower ? I like LianLi ones but sometimes the price is a bit off putting.

just have a look about see what you like best. im not one for recommending cases and the like as the decision is really down to the looks and you might think something is ugly that i like. so its best to look around to see what you like

but if you really want to go sli you'd need a midi tower.

however. if you were to get a 3870X2 that would fit in a mATX case at a push/ i had one in my watercooled v300 rig, i think my sig is a clicky to the build log.

sugo sg03 can fit sli, has a place for the card reader, mounts for 2 hard drives and is currently as i am aware the smallest sff case that takes a standerd power supply and standerd dvd rom.
But like as mentioned the sli mat i know of is skt 939 so not a good option. as for su standerd matx boards id rival the G33M-S2/DS2R against any mainstream board. obviously if you go the rote of a top spec ip35 pro or some x48 top end incarnation its no were near its mark but compared to the vaerage ATX board its a blinder
