OK, I'm simply trying to share the D drive on my Windows 7 Pro machine, and access it from my Vista machine.
On the Windows 7 PC I right click on the D drive and go into advanced sharing and share the drive, giving all priv.
I then look over the network on my vista machine, click the windows 7 pc, click the D drive I can see, and get "Windows cannot access \\serverpc\d". The diagnostics give "error code 0x80070005 Access is denied."
What am I missing?
If I share an individual folder (on the Windows 7 PC), it also pops up to the Vista PC on the network browser, but I get the same error if I then try to open it.
NOTE: I have "password protected sharing" turned off! This was the only was I could get the printer on that machine shared I believe!?
