Sharing an external harddisk??

hi there,
I've got a mac mini running bootcamp partition (media center and osx).

I want to get an external firewire hd for it to store movies and mp3s.
Providing it is formatted to FAT32 will it and the mp3s/movies be recognised under both media center and osx??
Basically, will i be able to read and write to the external hd under both OS??

Assuming OSX can read and write to FAT32 then yes.
