Is their anyway of increasing the number of simultaneous connections to a Windows 2000 pro machine folder to beyond 10 clients?

Cant remember if you can extend the maximum connection limit in 2000 like you can in XP but there is a workarround.

Edit: Was thinking of TCP/IP connection attempts for XP, you cant extend the limiy as was previously thought.

90% sure you can't increase this number in xp either, you've gotta use a server os

or you could use a linux box

Could you recommend me a simple Linux operating system for sharec folders?
