Having the heatpipes in contact with the IHS is an interesting idea. Wonder how it performs?

Yeah it is interesting. What about the other 65% of the IHS that isn't in direct contact with the heatpipes though? Or maybe that 65% will be just like "traditional" heatsink designs

The rest of the heatsink will just transfer the heat to the heatpipes like a normal heatpipe cooler.

Would be interesting to see a head to head against some other coolers.

Arctic Cooling Freezer Clone. Should perform pretty well, and hopefull will be quieter too.

Do the 'frameless' fans push as much air as traditional ones?

yeah thats is just a copy of a freezer pro even down to the framless fan.. just afew minro detail changes otherwise same as a freezer pro.

Yeh they should do. The whole frameless'ness etc is just to reduce noise.

Just noticed that the fan uses the same rubber pins to hold it in place as other sharkoon fans so this should be very very queit indeed
