US: Sharp Objects

Yeah, Bryce and Jessica often get mistaken for each other. I saw Bryce talking to Graham Norton about it, about how each gets praise for the other's work. :p They seem to be good friends have a laugh about it.

When I saw Bryce on Norton's show, I didn't realise it was her. At first I thought it was another person that looks like her. :p

I was really looking forward to this show, and so far it's everything i'd hoped for. Almost immediately everyone is a suspect. Love it!

I'm enjoying it but not really a show you can sit down and discuss like GOT, reminds me of watching Handmaiden's Tale where you come out the end of the hour feeling drained due to everything going off.

Well after the latest episode there's now room for discussion and quite a large number of clues dropped. Episode 8 is the last one though I believe?

Loved this show so far and will be sad when it's over. Anyone else with those feels might consider watching Big Little Lies. It has the same Director and a similar style. Originally planned for a single season, it's getting at least one more after the great reception it garnered.

Glad I've not read the books this is based off as wasn't expecting that ending also there's a after credit scenes if you've missed them.

Great finale.
That's the 'proper' ending for me no idea why they decided to put it after credits.

From Reddit:

The creators talked about the reasons for doing it this way:

  • That scene isnt from Camille's perspective so doesn't really fit before the credits, and Amma wouldn't be thinking about it right at the time she says her last line (so no flashback opportunity).

  • They wanted to shock people with the answer right as they started discussing the end while the credits were rolling.

  • They knew it would get discussed on the internet and didn't mind if people didnt see it the first time as they could go back to watching it.
Initially the director didn't think they'd use that footage, even though they shot it, but then decided to put it mid credits.

Personally i thought it was masterfully done and very impactful. Loved the whole show and hope more of the authors work gets adapted to television. Vallee is going to be swimming in directorial awards soon too.

Just finished this and was blown away, probably the best thing I've seen since season one of True Detective.
