Not sure if anyone can give some advice, but I'm after one of those grooming shavers so it can be used to trim beard length easily, anyone got any recommendations?

Search for "DE blades", "Merkur", "Geo F Trumper", "Cremes", "Shaving Cream", "Badger Brush", "Shaving Soap" and tell me if you still want to look like George Michael :)

I use a Remington beard trimmer every day. No attachment, just shortens it to a short stubble. Cost me about £20 from Boots a year ago and is far better than the more expensive Babylis one i was using before. The battery lasts for weeks too.

Thanks for some quick replies....not looking to trim down to short stubble, maybe keep a length of 1-2cm so bit more of a beard than "george michael goatee" as magnolia puts it :P

Most beard trimmers come with adjustable attachments, so you can look as much or as little like George Michael as you like.:)

I mean honestly, how was that even remotely ****ing helpful?

Good for you, you've turned having a shave into something to be elitist about in your mind, but he wants to trim his beard, not pretend he's a Boer War army captain.

Hmm...i-trim doing 0.5mm sounds good, need something myself that'll do about a 24 hour look, as for a 27 year old I look about 11 with a fully shaven face :(

another shout out for the remington already mentioned. my flatmate has one and swears by it. with my youthful smooth skin i can get away with just using a fusion razer to get rid of the mess every few days.lol

I bought a wilkinson sword titanium precision the other day and it has a beard trimmer on the opposite end and it is a brilliant accompaniment to my merkur 34c hd,

was there realy a need for such a large image? its not a big deal but it just realy annoys me when someone uses images that are so big it adds a sideways scrollbar.

its 1772 x 1104 pixels, and my screen res is 1280x1024, so even with my browser full screen there is still a sideways scrollbar

Edit: it seems to have been changed to a 800x600 image now, also about half the filesize of the previous picture.

I uploaded the picture and realised it was too large so ninja edited to get it smaller, i did it as quick as possible (so quick that it didn't even register as an edit) so no idea how you were seeing it large 12 mins after my post

Well i posted 3 min after you do, so that proberly means i loaded the thread at the moment you posted (before your ninja edit), and it took me 3 min to read the thread and write my reply. After reading someones reply about it being smaller then what i viewed it at i tried to refresh but it didnt change untill i refreshed over 10 times, at which point it updated.

Anyway, thankyou for shrinking the picture. It realy helps people like me who have small monitors, or who generaly have their browser smaller then fullscreen.

Certainly didn't intend to be elitist, I was offering an alternative. He seems to have been given some better advice than mine although not, noticeably, from yourself :)
