dont wanna stick up for sheaer but if he is trailed by video then wot about the spick with bellamy ?????... talksport summed it up this morning there itailans... always diving always cheating.....

No but neither can you back into players (which shearer does) hold players down when you go for a header (which shearer does) pull defenders shirts (which shearer does) etc etc.
He has got to resort to niggly cheating because what little pace he had is now gone, he cant get away from defenders, he cant out play them with the ball at his feet so hes effectivly reduced to barging people out the way.

Oh and please dont give me cheating italians, its they way they play, its the way they have ALWAYS played and Robson should have drilled it into his dozy players not to get involved in a physical match with them coz all that will happen is that they will give away needless fouls and get needless yellow cards, so much for him being a great manager, i bet Wenger and Ferguson remind their players about little things like that.

he only got 2 games as well what a joke, you can see on his face how much effort he put into that swing. It was disgusting. Imagine if that had been roy keane lashing out...

Now he has to CHEAT.
In much the same way as Seaman bluffs he is still a good keeper....
And Vegtables bluffs he is still a good manager............
He has to change his game to compensate for the attributes he has lost, unfortunatly he has changed from being a top notch striker into being a cheating thug.
 
shearer also supposedly scored a wonder volley from 25 yards out today so he now has more goals than rvn

lets look at how many goals shearer has scored per season (total goals)

2001-2002 24 goals
2000-2001 dunno got injured
1999-2000 30 goals (joint top with kevin phillps)
1998-1999 21 goals (highest was yorke with 29 )
1997-1998 dunno coz he was injured for most of the season
1996-1997 28 goals (top was fowler with 31)
1995-1996 37 goals

This season:
Ruud- league=8 cl=8 and he has played 20 games.
shearer- league= 9 and cl=2 and he has played 24 games.
Ruud scores every 1.25 games.
Shearer scores every 2.18.

so yeah shearer has one more league goal than Ruud so far this year and scored one more than him last year. (we wont count that ruuds total goal haul last year was 35 and shearers was 28, and that ruud missed something like 6 league games last year)

but we are talking all goals, we are talking DECLINING performance, we havnt said he doesnt score, we are talking about what he does to make up for his failing ability, even your own stats show a decline over the past 6 years from being arguably the best striker in the country to being a man who resorts to holding people down and elbowing them in the back of the head.
Ruud is something like 87% more likely to score per game than shearer (if ive remembered how to do basic maths) at the minute.
that is this season.
He should be setting an example, playing the game rather than going in like a bulldozer, he should be more sheringham than smith.

how many games did shearer miss last season?

i know shearer does resort to some "unprofessional" tactics but so does rvn, the guy dives which to my knowledge shearer does not. Its also called experience coz he does wind people up and its usually within the rules of the game but to call him a cheat is abit extreme, he doesnt always elbow people
 
hehehe i have seen Shearer dive on plenty of occasions and against players half his size and build too, quite funny actually when you see a player of his strength supposedly getting muscled clean off the ball and him sat on his fat one screaming at the ref for a foul


only for the Ref to look at him out of sheer amusement and ask "are you really serious?"

Shearer has become one of the most cynical players in UK football and has been for a few seasons now, its no surprise, he is just doing what he has always done, apart from getting caught that is ;)
