Hi

2nd home but first with a garden so in need of a shed for general storage, a couple of bikes, lawn mower etc.

Prob looking at 6x6 to 7x7, this sound big enough?

Don't plan on it being a man cave or anything.

Prices seem to vary quite a bit from a few hundred to over a thousand!

Any recommendations on where to buy?

Thanks,

Most people will suggest tiger shed but really making one yourself would be better (stronger) but it will be more expensive.

You might find 7x7 is an ok size but ours is 10x8 and is full as it became a bit of a dumping ground so it may be worth considering a larger one if budget allows and if you think you’re prone to ‘just putting it in the shed’ like I am.

Haha yeah. Mine is 14x8 (came with the house) and I already feel it’s not big enough.

Although I do try using it as a workshop rather than just storage.

Depends how big your garden is and how much stuff you want to put in it. We got a 10x8 one from tiger sheds and it's full, so glad we didn't go any smaller. I'd recommend tiger sheds as well.

If you want something more solid, they are not cheap. We bought an A+J Sectional Buildings shed, 10x6 tongue & grooved shiplap, just because it felt a lot more strong and solid than other makes short of an actual wooden building. It was about £750, they turned up and put it together in about 45 mins. There seems to be a big difference in quality between the £400/500 price and if you pay a bit more to get to £700/800 depending on your size.

Get some metal shelves, some storage boxes, and keep the inside fairly organised so it's usable and you can get in and out to get stuff. There's nothing worse than a packed shed where you can never get what you want until you've emptied half of it out.
