Right, after standing on my housemate's rug I thought I'd try and get one myself though I do have some questions please:

Do you have one?
Is it real or faux?
If it's real - what erm, animal is it made from?
How much was it?
How long has it lasted?
Is it easy to clean and maintain?
Where did you buy it from?

Are you the guy that asked where to spend Debenhams vouchers? :p

I thought they'd been taken over. Look, ok, when Our Price got taken over years ago I hadn't a clue as to where I'm supposed to spend around £30 of vouchers. I asked - and then I found out that somewhere else accepted them. How was I supposed to know that Debenhams hadn't been taken over...and ...right everybody's laughing har har ...

Got a real one from Ikea for about £20, not very large, feels nice under the toes but mostly because my little girl wanted it for her room.

Sorry, it's just that while browsing around it appears sheep, Llama's and other weird things all have their hair shaved off for what's marketed as a "sheepskin" rug. Just wanted to make sure that's all.

When i was working in South Afrika! I saw some nice zebra skin ones but I had maxed my creditcard and was skint :( Much better than the imported ones i've seen in the UK, Realllllly big !

I think they came from a horse or stripey elephant?

Quite difficult to match it to any decor in my house too, but so pimp!

I have always assumed that a sheepskin was from a sheep and that rather than shaved hair it included the skin. Hence "sheep" and "skin".
Anything other than a sheepskin being used in the production of a "sheepskin" rug would probably fall foul of millions of pieces of EU legislation.

Not to mention false advertisement :)

Now if i could just take up taht case against the never-ending story :)

Saw some at a gift shop at Holker Hall last week for £34 quid, was roughly sheep sized :p Certainly very natural - kill sheep, eat the inside and walk on the outside :)

That was near Grange over sands - not a million miles up the coast from liverpool?
