So I went to bob a bit of the old "go juice" in the car today at Shell and the guy asks me if I have a Shell card. I said no I don't have one so he says do I want one, I said no as I thought it was like a points thing to get a gift if you go there so much or something but on the way out I noticed a sign that said you get 3p off per litre with one.

Having a quick look on the Shell website all I can see is their "Drivers Club" which seems to get you air miles and money off shopping or their standard shell card which just seems to be a business fuel card. Anyone any ideas? :)

No idea, but you pretty much have to spend about £8k a week to get any decent benefits from it last time I checked :p

Jez, I spend between £100-150 a month on V-Power(I have a V-Power cluc card), do reckon it'd be worth it to get one of these cards just to use for fuel?

You would get a further 3% off the pump price, so it depends if you can be arsed for the £3-4.50 you'd get back :)

Personally i spend into 4 figures every month on fuel, so it works out to be £30pm+ in cashback straight on the bill, not bad for just using a different bit of plastic.

If you are not already buying on credit you really, really should. No way i'd let my debit card pass through the hands of most garage attendants. They are clone hotspots.

All the Shell garages i visit have the standard card machine on the counter and most of the time my Debit or Credit card never leaves my hands.

Given the card machines are so small its hard to fit a skimmer without being easy to spot.

After you put your debit or credit card in you put your drivers club card in. Take you sometime to figure out which way it goes into the machine...well...it took me a bit of time the first time! :p
