How long does this normally take to come out?

I bought £150.01 of diesel on the 30th july (I have the receipt from the pump)
which has not yet left my acct?

It's the first time i've used it, does it usually take this long o.O

Couple of days for pay at the pump / self scanner type payments to come out of my account usually - has been known to take a bit longer mind you. I usually cant tell its left the account until a couple of days later when the transaction is actually listed

they are allowed upto 28 days to take a card transaction from your account :)

I had one down that must have been close to that. Couldn't work out what it was at first but it was from when I was on holiday, and they were late taking the payment for some reason. Though usually it comes off your bank statement in a few days. :o

More to the point what did you fill up with £150 of diesel? Our old big tanked Merc Ambulances only take a max £125 and that cuts out due to time taken to fill a lot of the time!

When fuel prices went even more crazy that they are now they did up the limit from £99 to around £120 IIRC but dropped it back down again shortly afterwards once fuel costs came down again.

Pay at pumps around my place only allow transactions of up to £60. Really annoying as a fill up for me is around £64-66, so I am forced to go into the shop...

Interesting thing I heard was that even with 1p in your account you can fill up.

I suspect its actually £1, they probably do a pre-auth for £1 to check that the card details are valid, then later, take the full amount. Obviously if you where to do this you would end up in trouble

They'll be needing to put it back up this month then, we are now almost back where we were 3 months ago in terms of oil price now.
