Shenmue

Just received this from the awesome site that is eBay.

Paid £17.99 for it with FREE P&P

The discs are in great condition, with no scratches which is suprising

I cannot wait to go home and play this again, it's the best game i have ever played.

There is just something about Shenmue that makes it a joy to play, not once did i ever get bored of playing it. (Though the load times were a tad long)

It's a real shame that Yu Suziki has not continued his work on this awesome story.

We can only hope that he realises how much people want the 3rd installation

My favourite series of all time. Just the atmosphere of the game etc just makes it so much fun

Yep too bad, Sega has stopped Shenmue for the time being but they keep making Yakuza which is very similar. The engine could easily run Shenmue so as long as they make the right assets + story it would be easy

Got a copy of this the other week when I bought a Dreamcast.

Started watching the intro, then had to turn it off before I got hooked.

Looking forward to playing it when I've got some time off.

I think at the time, the size and scope of the game was immense.
Graphics were top notch and it was just a really good game.

Even now it's still great.

Indeed it is a superb rpg/adventure far, far better than nearlty all games since. Shame there isn't a Men In Black type brain eraser so I can play it through again and get the same buzz from it

I loved the first one (except the quite boring work/forklift races), bought the second one for Xbox but never could really get into it, might have to pick up a copy and dust off my dreamcast.

I've ended up with 2 copies of this game for some reason.

Its a great game and still holds its own today.

89% overall review score, Shenmue II has the same overall score too.

The game was excellent, it started off a bit slow but gets you hooked. Great story and a damn unique game.

Meh, might have just been how me and my mates felt. None of us played it even though we only played DC games during that period.
