Im after some advice, my son has got the revo shifters on his bike 2x6. What quick shifters can I use? I was looking at the m310 but they are 3x6, is there anything I can use?

Are you waiting twist/grip shifter, or trigger shifter?
Are the current ones broken?

You can buy them individually, but the front has to be 2 speed and the rear 6 speed of that's what he currently has, and stick to the same brand to avoid complications with cable pull ratios, so if shimano, get a shimano etc.

Quick Google and 2 speed front shifters seem quite rare, but 6 speed shimano rear shifters are easily getable. What's wrong with the current shifters?

You could use a 3 speed front shifter, and use the limit screws to stop it shifting into a non exististant 3rd ring and dropping the chain but that's a bit of a botch.

Is it a botch? Its practically a design feature. Most front shifters don't seem to be "2" or "3" speed anyway.

Really, Google it then.. There seems to be some 3 speed shifters, some make no mention of 2 speed compatability. Some
Say 2/3 speed.

I'm not saying that you can't do it, you can, but most are marketed as 3 speed. As you were, brain trust.

Just get a 3 and the high screw will keep it to a 2 speed.

Only higher end stuff has specific speed or a little switch to concert.

Shimano SLX front shifter is swapable between 2 and 3 speed, and the shimano altus is cheap as chips 6 speed rear shifter.
