This is the replacement for the Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle. It appears to be going the way of the US Bradley AFV = modified to meet so many conflicting requirements that it ended up meeting none of them.

Says they designed the turret independent of the vehicle. Seems a bit daft by layman understanding. Especially if you want moving and shooting as one.

tanks are unable to travel faster than half the intended top speed of 40mph, and they are so loud that soldiers have had to wear ear defenders and undergo ear tests afterwards. They are also unable to reverse over objects 20cm high.

How can that be in this day and age?

does copy-pasting an american design, somehow even managing to screw that up, then handing it to the germans to fix really count as "invented here"?

Firstly it's not a tank, secondly, what does this have to do with capitalism and greed? Are communists immune from engineering blunders or something?

We are perfectly capable of designing and building our own armoured fighting vehicles I don't know why we don't or at least properly co-work on a project so we get a decent result.

The current situation is clearly one of not fit for purpose and requires radical action.
