Hi there, Ill be going abroad and im taking my rig with me. Im still unsure on how to go about packing it so i need some tips please... is it advisable to just put everything in a box where my case was in or should I disassemble evrything and ship it that way?

I'd deassemble it, sell just a case, wrap&pack all components -> put into baggage, and once arrived I'd buy new case and assemble all together.

personnally i would just take out the graphics card and check tht hard drives and things are secure and leave everything else in. you could probably do with putting fragile on the box or something along those lines

ive worked in a parcel place, fragile stickers mean nothing, trust me ;)

+1 except if you have a large / weighty CPU heatsink and fan I would remove that too.

I too have worked in a parcel warehouse (sorting depot) and trust me fragile, this way up, do not drop or any other markings mean absolutely nothing. The parcel will be chucked about, pushed around parcel sorting conveyor systems, dropped and maybe even stud on if there is a blockage in the automatic sorting system.

thanks for the input guys. i still have the box for my case but i will remove my gpu and cpu cooler is it possible to take them with me as hand carry?

If your CPU cooler does not contain water there should be no problem, I have travelled on business with all sorts of gismos without any problem. You could check with the airline just to make sure.
