I just brought a new XSPC X2O Delta V3 CPU WaterCooling Kit and installed on my antec 1200 case.

At first start up with i7 920 at 4GHz at 1.3vcore and I was happy to see very low idle of 26C, 26C, 25C, 26C then after try prime95 within a few seconds as I was shocking the temperature went up 100C straight away!

Can't be right for watercooling kit ?

 I was really fed up with it all.

I would probably guess its due to the size of the radiator, but im not entirly sure as iv never used an I7, those that have may know more.

ITs not a bad little kit for the price, only thing really letting it down is the radiator.

As benjo said make sure its all seated right..

I thought that one is a 120mm radiator with a block that can't cope with i7, your noctua is probably better. High end air is better than low end water

I've got quite a lot of respect for your persistence with this Bulldog, I don't think you're going to be happy until you're on custom water though

I got temps of 44,41,44,39 idle and 73,69,72,67 prime 95 load for 2 hrs with 4Ghz with 1.275v with the setup in my sig. corsair H50 rocks. I had a fenrir and the best I got was 52,50,52,48idle 85,82,85,79 load.....

Did you do it as immediately after?

Water cooling works at a slower rate, so if you changed it straight there then the temperature of the water would have just been over powered.

Could you clarify that dr4g0nf1y? If you mean the temperature will go up sharply with watercooling then come back down, I think you're talking rubbish.

I've only ever seen temperatures going up slowly and taking a long time to equalise relative to air.

That's not working correctly. Is the radiator too hot to touch? It's very unlikely so the chances are there is air is the system somewhere. Most likely the radiator. Is the reservoir full or are you drawing air? Is it noisy or quiet?
