Hi guys.

You will most likely have never heard of the brand "Shogun Bros" and I will admit neither had I until very recently. I have however been able to play with my sample Ballista laser mouse from them, and it is really really good! So I decided to bring the product to OcUK!

Less than £50 nets you a 8200, YES 8200 DPI laser mouse!

Stock is landing today.

Shogun Bros Ballista MK-1 8200 DPI Pro Gaming Mouse @ £49.99 inc VAT

The curves of the Ballista MK-1 are classic right-handed ergonomics, immediately separating this mouse from the others on the battlefield. There are many other differences too, not least the use of more precise laser tracking as opposed to optical tracking, making the Ballista a much more fully functioning game-centric mouse.

Not quite sure about those 2 silver buttons under where your thumbs sits as my thumb rests on the ledge where the buttons would be. Does that happen in use ?
Whose the company behind it & where are they based for returns/issues ?

This I like though.

Hi there

Looks like a special weapon designed for the military, a mouse is no longer just a mouse. :D

The 2 silver buttons sit behind where your thumb rests, you have pull your thumb back to use the buttons, so don't get in the way accidentially.

The company behind these are based in Hong Kong. But that is largely irrelevant as OcUK will take care of any warranty issues for the lifetime of the warranty.

The small up/down thumb switch looks like a single rocker switch, if so, its not easily pressed whilst resting against it. You would need to make a definite movement to use it.

That video is of an early release prototype, lots have changed on it the dpi if nothing else. Not saying those changes have made it a different product, just that making a decision on a pre-release video that might not be relevant to the final product

Not sure I like the looks, shape is pretty nice but there are too many colours and a mixture of matte and shiny isn't all that appealing

Its not the most pretty mouse granted, but do you look at your mouse when using it? I sure as hell dont :) Im looking at my screen, if its pink, but comfy I wouldnt care. It's about the handling, not the looks.

Kinda like Katie Price. ;)

I think hes trying to suggest hed happily give katie price one as long as hes allowed to close his eyes and think of megan fox

Nice price for a decent looking mouse.

I just wish these manufacturers would stick the thumb buttons above and below each other where you can easily reach them without having to move your hand on the mouse.

I know you can buy mice with dozens of buttons under your thumb, but I don't want dozens, two or three would be perfectly sufficient as long as you can easily access them and as I don't have an extending thumb side by side just doesn't cut it.

Hi,

Sorry to be picky but I noticed the product picture doesn't show the USB cable yet the description states otherwise. Does this mean there is a wireless alternative?

Tis a rather nice looking mouse.

How big is it? Mice seem to be getting smaller and smaller lately and for people like me with big hands, its a nightmare!

It's a decent size, not small. Let me take a pci against my G400.

I actually quite like the rubber finish, it feels nice on my soft, warm, gentle hands. LOL :)
